Fact on COVID-19 virus

 COVID-19 this disease was referred to as' 2019 novel coronavirus' or' 2019-nCov'.The COVID-19 virus is a new virus linked to the same family of viruses as severe acute respiratory sydrome(SARS) and some types of common cold.

On 31sr December 2019, WHO was informed of cases of pheumonia of unknown cause in wuhan city, china. A novel coronavirus wa indentified as the cause by chinese authorities on 7th january 2020 and was temporarily named "2019-nCov". The virus spread mainly between people to people who are in close contact with each other. A person can be infacted when aerosol or droplets containing the virus are inhaled or come directly into contact with eyes, nose or mouth.

The risk of breathing these in is highest when people are in close proximity, but they can be inhaled over longer distances, particularly indoors. Transmission can also occur if splashed or sprayed with contaminated fluids, in the eyes, nose or mouth, and, rarely, via contaminated surfaces. People remain contagious for up to 20 days, and can spread the virus even if they do not develop any symptoms.
